The project that the multinational team, which had been workingremotely for months, finally delivered ahead of schedule, was praised bythe board whose members rarely agree on anything.
把“that”后面的东西全砍掉,主句只剩“The project was praised by theboard”。
the multinational team
had been working remotely for months
finally delivered ahead of schedule
the board whose members rarely agree on anything
The café where we spent every Sunday morning, when the city was stillhalf-asleep, closed last week because the owner, whose daughter had juststarted college in Canada, decided to emigrate.
1.关系词太多,背完who/which/that还冒出whose/where/when/why,脑袋直接宕机。
The scientist whose theory was once ridiculed received the NobelPrize.
The house in which I grew up is for sale.口语里直接说“The house I grew up in”,但写作别丢介词。
The fact that he failed the exam surprised no one.
The book that the professor who teaches syntaxrecommended is out of stock. 两层“that/who”连环套,先拆最里层“whoteaches syntax”,再拆外层的“that…recommended”。
The startup which secured Series B funding last month ishiring.
The stray cat which stole my sandwich yesterday is now sleepingon my keyboard.
