蒲公英
——冯晓（山西）
生来朴素小黄花，
地角田头处处家。
任尔尝鲜兼入药，
残余几朵散天涯。
注：笔者身有残疾，年逾半百，居市区数十年，亦数十年未见此花，忽一日得友人馈赠令余尝鲜，勾起儿时于田野采撷充饥之情，致有此慨。

Dandelions

You born plain, your little flowers yellow blow;
At field edges or plot corners you grow.
Eaten fresh or used in med'cine you are;
O your left seeds drift to skyline, so far.
Note: I'm a disabled man over fifty. After living downtown for decades, I had never come across dandelions. So when a friend recently gave me some to try, it took me back to my childhood, when we foraged for them to ward off hunger. Hence, this poem.
